Preflight Kit · Legal
The app collects nothing.
Preflight Kit’s privacy notice, in full. The app bundles it rather than linking it, because an app whose whole pitch is that it needs no signal cannot put its privacy notice behind one.
Version 3 · the text bundled in the app
Who we are
Preflight Kit is made by Cloudberrix OÜ, registry code 17557468, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, Kesklinna linnaosa, 10115 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. We are the controller of the small amount of personal data this notice describes, and you can write to us at support@cloudberrix.com. Because the app is offered to people in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply to it.
What the app collects
Nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising, and the app sends nothing to us. Your aircraft, loadings, PLOGs, settings and your record of accepting the terms are held on your device: we cannot see them, and deleting the app deletes them. If iCloud Backup is on they may be included in your device backup, which is between you and Apple. Anything you send out of the app yourself — a load sheet, a PLOG, an aircraft file — goes wherever you send it, and we receive no copy.
If you email us
When you write to support@cloudberrix.com we receive your email address, what you write, and any device or app detail you include. We use it to answer you and to fix what you have reported, and nothing else; our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in supporting the app. It is held in our email system, seen only by the people who need it to help you, shared with no one, and never used for marketing. We keep it while your query is open and for no longer than two years after it is closed.
If you buy the unlock
Apple takes the payment as a separate and independent controller, under Apple's own privacy policy. Cloudberrix OÜ never sees your card, your name or your Apple Account. The app asks Apple's StoreKit whether this device holds the unlock — our legitimate interest in giving you what you paid for — and that is the only network request the app makes.
Outside the UK
We are in Estonia, in the EEA, which the United Kingdom has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data, so your support email keeps that protection when we read it there. If a supplier we use handles it outside the UK or the EEA, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations for that country or on standard contractual clauses. The purchase is Apple's, under Apple's own policy.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, or to correct it, erase it, restrict what we do with it, or send it on in a portable form, and you can object to our using it at all. Email support@cloudberrix.com. We answer within one month, and will tell you inside that month if a complex request needs the further two months the law allows. There is no charge unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — you can come to us first, but you do not have to.
